Description

In recent years, our podcast feeds have been inundated with investigative serials. But what does it really take to report and produce investigations for the ear?

Join moderator Anayansi Diaz-Cortes of Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting along with Oliver-Ash Kleine (Trans Journalist Association), Meribah Knight (WPLN News) and Charles Lane (WSHU) as they dissect their work to explain challenges, lessons learned and what it takes to bring investigative audio work to life for radio and podcast listeners.

Our discussion will get into the weeds about the artistry of building scenes out of investigative findings and the stubbornness and rigor required to get good tape. We also want to hold space to ask questions like who gets to tell a story and why? And what are the power dynamics that are unique to audio storytelling?
