Description

Slides for "Covering housing inequities: Lessons learned," a session at the IRE 2023 conference in Orlando on Thursday, June 22, 2023.

Session description: Join us for a discussion on various housing policies and how they harm communities across the country. We'll provide tools, sources, and tips on how to uncover stories about failing government-funded housing, the intersection between housing and lack of safety, evictions and more. As the country continues to deal with a shortage of 7.3 million affordable rental homes, learn how to dig for the stories perpetuating the housing crisis for some of our most vulnerable residents.

This session is sponsored by the the Central Florida Foundation. IRE retains control of content, including the topic and speaker selection, for all conference sessions.
