Description

A police officer in a popular tourist town in Bucks County Pennsylvania shot a suspect who survived, but for five weeks and five days that is all the public knew. The Bucks County DA refused to provide even basic details of the police-involved shooting, including where it happened and if the officer was put on leave. The police chief deferred to the DA. For five weeks we called police and the DA every other day asking for updates and writing that none were provided. We filed a series public record requests, which later proved helpful and revealed a much larger public safety issue within the police department.
