Description

The four-part series, "Clouded Justice: A look through the haze of controversy in the Municipal Court," dove into the issues that mired St. Joseph's Municipal Court for nine months. The series examined the administration of the court and the personalities involved. It showed the ease in which a court clerk stole more than $10,000 from the court. It illustrated the nonexistent financial controls relationships between the municipal judge and the clerk, and her family, and how they related tot eh theft and the administratio of the court. Ther series also found that drunken drivers routinely passed through the court with suspended sentences, if they were prosecuted at all. Above all, it explored the often controversial past of the judge and how he views his role on the bench.
