Description

The story focused on the use of taxpayer-funded employees used by Illinois Governor Jim Edgar for his personal use in caring for his private country home. The actual stories aired centered around the Governor's use of Executive Security to mow his lawn and provide related landscape maintenance. Also included as a follow-up were specific orders given to Executive Security officers to provide care and medical treatment for the Edgar family pets. No criminal charges have been filed yet. However, several unanswered questions are being pursued. (June 8 - 10, 1994)
