Following a fatal traffic accident involving a police officer, who caused the Times-Union learned the officer was disciplined by the Sheriff's Office, and was not treated like a normal citizen (no tickets, insurance hikes, etc.) The investigation revealed that there are many officers driving who've caused multiple accidents, while some new officers were being hired with lenghty driving records. (Dec. 31, 1995)
