Description

The Clarion Ledger found that a federal probe of former U.S. Agriculture Secretary Mike Espy has crossed paths with an investigation of former Bank of Edwards President Henry L. "Larry" McNair III who admitted he misued his position to fraudulently lend $941,752. Fourty-seven loans were made in sham transactions using fictitious names to funnel money to two people whose names he did not disclose. (Sept. 22, 1995)
