Description

KGO-TV finds that while cars are becoming sleeker and more aerodynamic to increase gas mileage, this is altering automobile interiors--creating a hazard known as "veiling glare." The top surface of the dashboard is reflected back into the driver's line of sight, obscuring vision. Pedestrians and motorists are dying while industry is doing little to alleviate the problem and government denies a problem exists. (Nov. 15, 1995)
