Description

At the peak of the holiday shopping season, a Dateline NBC investigation documented widespread overcharging by major retail stores using computerized check-out scanners. In a nation-wide shopping spree, Dateline's hidden cameras showed how items which were marked "on sale" at the shelf frequently rang up at the "regular" price at the check-out scanner. Dateline's investigation found the overcharging was widespread and costly.
