Description

The Washington Post magazine investigates tensions between the Cheseapeake Bay Foundation and local fishermen in the Chesapeake Bay area. When environmentalists from the Bay Foundation first came to the Bay to clean up the area, they thought they were wanted and islanders would recognize that they worked in the Bay's best interest; but after the Maryland government cut the crabbing season in half, threatening crabbers' livelihoods, violence erupted in the form of arson.
