Description

City Paper investigates a fire that killed a Baltimore City firefighter: how mistakes in firefighting might have contributed to his death, and how the investigation into the cause of the fire was botched by the Baltimore City Fire Department (BCFD). The story showed that BCFD did not follow internationally recognized standards that dictate that once a fire is declared out of control all personnel should be withdrawn to a position at least two heights of the building away.
