WFTV-TV investigates convicted felony offenders who collected money from a fund designed for innocent victims of violent crime. While some of these convicted felony offenders were innocent crime victims, the authors found some clearly contributed to the element of the crime for which they were claiming victimhood. The authors found the majority of those convicts who collected owed the state thousands of dollars by way of court costs and fines.
