CBC-TV Winnepeg reports "the story about two families and what they lost financially and emotionally by joining a religious community run by a Catholic priest. The charismatic priest believes his communities will protect people from the 'end times.' The draw for people is a young woman who claims to get daily messages from the Virgin Mary. The messages tell people to sell their homes and life insurance because they should lead lives of poverty. But life in the community is not what the members expected. They had to work at least an eight-hour day, without getting paid, several hours were devoted to prayer - and they had to pay rent to a company run by the priest..."
