James Bernard Parker has been behind bars for more than twelve years for sexually assaulting children. His conviction was based solely on the testimony of alleged victims, the oldest of which were 12 years old. Curious about the case, the Charlotte Observer interviewed jurors, detectives and some of the "victims". After extensive interviews, it was found that many of the now grown-up children had recanted their stories, saying they had simply repeated what they had heard other children say.
