The Cook County Forest Preserves is 68,000 acres of undeveloped land around the city of Chicago. As the reporters found out the funds used for the upkeep of the preserves was being used to reward politicians and highly paid officials. Today the preserves are strewn with litter and unkempt picnic cabins.
