Description

The Star Tribune reveals how (from the questionnaire), "the Parker Hughes Cancer Center wooed desperate patients with inflated promises of their chances of recovery while billing them for unusually high levels of questionable care. The reporters found stories of patients in the last stages of their lives who were exhausted by rigorous treatment schedules that the cancer center pushed, whether the treatment helped them or not. They showed a pattern of charges by the clinic that were much higher than average, and concerns by former employees and national experts about treatment and billing practices at the clinic".
