Description

Few people in the country had ever heard of a Western Oklahoma State College. But ask any big-time college sports department and they know it well. An investigation by Brad Wolverton of the Chronicle uncovered that the small junior college was enrolling thousands of college athletes in short-term online courses, many of which required little work. The athletes flock there to maintain their eligibility. Wolverton's article already prompted the college's accreditor to launch an investigation into the courses.
