Description

We reviewed some 3,300 pages of disciplinary records from the Minneapolis Police Department, only obtained through a lengthy and on-going freedom-of-information lawsuit. The files reveal stark, systemic problems in the department. We found that it takes the department 539 days on average to resolve a complaint that results in discipline, and that just 2.7% of complaints result in disciplinary action.
