Tips to prepare for the conference

Hotel Information
The conference is taking place at the Boston Marriott Copley Place, 110 Huntington Avenue, Boston, MA, 02116.

Registration
Conference registration opens Wednesday at 4 p.m. and will re-open Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. Registration remains open Friday and Saturday on the 4th Floor of the hotel.

Weather
Boston weather will have highs in the upper 60s to low 70s this week.  See Boston’s full weather report thanks to weatherchannel.com.

Complimentary wireless Internet during the conference
Be sure to stop by the registration desk to receive the access code for the complimentary wireless Internet being offered throughout the meeting space during the IRE conference.  In addition, attendees staying at the Boston Marriott Copley Place receive a discounted rate on Internet in their guest rooms.

Tickets can be purchased onsite at the conference sales desk located on the 4th Floor of the hotel for this great event.  Come listen to Gina Sicilia perform and enjoy time with your IRE friends.

Conference addendums
Be sure to check your email each day, where you will receive the conference addendum with any last minute changes. Paper copies will still be available at the registration desk each morning.

Conference evaluations
New for the IRE conference — we will be sending out daily evaluations to gather your feedback on the sessions you attended that day.  Please take a moment to complete these evaluations, as they are important as we plan next year’s conference.  We will also send a full evaluation after the conference.  Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the evaluation.

Don’t forget to sign-up at the conference
You can sign up onsite to pitch your book or movie idea to an agent, meet for one-on-one mentoring for broadcasters with Poynter's Al Tompkins or show your work in the broadcast Show and Tell room. All sign-up sheets will be located near the registration desk on the 4th Floor.

Video recording of sessions
Some conference panels will be video recorded and made available online; check the conference blog for details.

Twitter/Student blog
Be sure to use #IRE12 during the conference.  Stop by the registration desk to see the tweets live on the announcement monitor along with live blogs from the conference.  The blog will be embedded on the main conference page, where you can also find the most up-to-date information on the conference.
